Last Action

The Stallions played 3 tough road games against opponents from the East Coast Hockey Association two weekends ago.

Thursday night the Stallions lost in a close game where they could not get any breaks. The Stallion's weren't able to stay out of the box and the posts made too many saves for George Mason. The Stallions were tied going into the third, but couldn't find a way to pull ahead. The Stallions' goals were both scored by #14 Justin Satawa - his first 2 goals of the season.

Friday night was another close finish vs George Mason. In this one, the Stallions were trailing by 3 heading into the third period, but Coach Hufford got them fired up for the 3rd and the Stallions climbed back into the game on goals by #5 Blake Siewertsen (6) and #20 Devon Collis (3). The Stallions pulled within 1 goal with 12 minutes left, but weren't able to get the equalizer.

Saturday afternoon the Stallions travelled to the Campus of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The Stallions were only able to convert on one of their early powerplay opportunities with a goal by Collis (4) and Navy pulled out to a 3-1 lead after the first period. It was a back and forth game with both sides having good scoring chances but the Stallions couldn't get the puck in the net and the Midshipmen skated to at 5-2 victory. The Stallions' final goal was scored by Siewertsen (7) in the third period.
