GAME CANCELLATION - THURSDAY FEB 8 at TOLEDO Due to scheduling issues with their rink, the Toledo Rockets are not able to host the Stallions on February 8 in Toledo and that game has been Cancelled. For league purposes, the game in Kalamazoo on February 10 will be played and count for 6 league points instead of the usual 3.

GLCHL STANDINGS AND PLAYOFFS

Each GLCHL team plays every other team for 6 points across 1 or 2 games for a possible season total of 54 points.

The Stallions are in a battle with Roosevelt and Toledo for the 6th, 7th and 8th position in the league playoffs. The 8th seed would play the #1 seed (Adrian) and the 7th Seed would play the #2 seed (Purdue Northwest), and the 6th seed would play the #3 seed (Calvin, Grand Valley or Davenport).

Toledo swept Oakland last weekend and plays Grand Valley twice this weekend before the 6 point showdown with the Stallions on 2/10.

Playoff Scenarios for the Stallions are:

  1. The Stallions win versus Oakland and Toledo and Davenport beats Roosevelt on 2/9 and 2/10 in regulation. The Stallions would move up to #6 in the standings and would play one of the Grand Rapids schools.

  2. Stallions win versus Oakland and Toledo, but Roosevelt earns at least 2 points. Stallions will play the #2 seed - Purdue Northwest on Tuesday 2/13.

  3. Stallions beat Oakland but lose to Toledo. Then the Stallions will play at Adrian on Wed 2/14.

These are not all of the playoff scenarios and many other scenarios are possible.

The first GLCHL Tournament game will take place between Tuesday 2/13 - Thursday 2/15 at the higher seeded team's campus. The GLCHL Tournament will then move to Farmington Hills Ice Arena. Winners of first round games will play on Friday night 2/16 at either 5:30 or 8:30pm.

Winners of the second round games will meet in the Championship game Saturday, February 17 at 5:30pm.
