The Stallions are excited to announce Griffin Freel from Detroit Catholic Central as their second commitment for the 2023-2024 season.
Griffin, from South Lyon, Michigan, comes to the Stallions after capping off his high school career with a State Championship, where his defensive talents were on display as DCC did not allow a goal throughout their state tournament run.
He was drawn to Western through the campus and athletic programs, and plans to study Sport Management during his time here. “Griffin is going to come in and provide some size and stability to our back end right away”, Head Coach Alex Hufford said. “He comes from a program with a winning culture, and we are excited to add him to our program”.
