Stallions Commit NA3HL Top Prospect John Moriarty

The Stallions are proud to announce the signing of John Moriarty, a Goaltender from the Louisiana Drillers in the North American 3 Hockey League.

Moriarty spent parts of 4 seasons in junior hockey with the Northern Cyclones (NCDC) and Fresno Monsters (USPHL Premier) before finishing in the NA3HL with the Louisiana Drillers. Last season with the Drillers, he posted a .910 save percentage with a 2.53 GAA, going 23-10-2 in 36 games. In addition, he was selected to participate at the NA3HL Top Prospects event in Pittsburgh in February.

While still undecided on his major, he is excited to come to Western and pursue both his academic and athletic goals.

“John’s athleticism, size, and fundamentals helped him have a ton of success at the junior level, and we are looking forward to him continuing to build on that with us next season”, said Head Coach Alex Hufford.
