TONIGHT'S GAME This is the 5th meeting with the Lakers this season, but the first league game between the clubs. Grand Valley has won all of the meetings this year, but the Stallions are looking to change that trend tonight.
GVSU Lakers
The Lakers are having a respectable first season at the ACHA Division 1 level. They are 11-15-0-1 and currently in 5th place in the GLCHL. They have lost their last three games, one to Adrian and two to Davenport. #91 Zach Borchardt leads the team with 30 goals this season while #26 Shane Haggerty leads the time in overall points with 53 (24G, 29A).
LAST WEEKEND
The Stallions dropped 2 games to #6 Adrian last weekend and also lost a closer game to Calvin on Saturday. Hayden Watzka, Blake Siewertsen and Jared Parks scored for the Stallions. The goalies were under assault from the Adrian Bulldogs - Thayer faced 72 shots on Friday night and Hufford faced 74 on Saturday.
GLCHL UPDATE
As a number of league games have been postponed or cancelled due to Covid, the league standings will now be determined by win percentage instead of Points.
The Stallions remaining 5 games are all league games, so
the next 3 weeks will have a major impact on the standings.
GLCHL Tournament
The League tournament will take place February 24 - 26 and is being hosted by Calvin University at the Eagles Ice Center.

UPCOMING GAMES
Next weekend the Stallion take on league rival, Davenport University Friday night at home and Saturday afternoon in Grand Rapids.
Friday night will be SENIOR NIGHT as we celebrate our seniors who are finishing their Stallion career this season. They will be honored in a pre-game ceremony starting at 9:00pm at Wings West. We hope to draw a big crowd that night!
Saturday's game at Patterson Ice Arena in Grand Rapids will start at 3:30pm.
