GLCHL League Games

The Purdue University Northwest Pride joined the Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League this year and will compete with the Stallions and 6 other teams for the league title. Both games this weekend are league games and will count toward the season standings.

National Rankings:

This week's ACHA Division 1 computer rankings saw the Stallions move up 2 spots to #60 after sweeping Roosevelt University.

The ranking are updated each week and are used to determine who participates in the National Tournament in March.

LAST WEEK:

The Stallions played a thrilling and high scoring series against Roosevelt University finishing with a weekend sweep! The Stallions and Lakers will play 2 more in Chicago the first weekend of December.

Friday: Stallions 6 - Lakers 5 The Stallions won an exciting game as the teams combined for 92 shots on goal and 11 goals. Stallion goalie Collin Guelcher made 46 stops on 51 shots for the win. The Stallions scored on both of their powerplays and were able to kill 4 out of 5 Laker powerplay opportunities.

Stallion goals were scored by Clark (4, 5), Tenney (1), Stein (7), and Brate (8, 9)

Saturday: Stallions 5-Lakers 4 SO Saturday was a similar game but with a lot more suspense. The Stallions scored first, fell behind, then jumped out to a 4-2 lead. Unfortunately, we couldn't hold the lead as the Lakers scored late in the second period and again late in the third period to tie the game. After a scoreless overtime, the teams went to a shootout where #9 Ethan Kotre scored for the Stallions and #35 Daniel Boylan stopped all 3 Laker penalty shots to give the Stallions the win!

Stallion goals were scored by Clark (6), Satawa (3), Kotre (6) and Langer (1).
