Stallions Sign Local Standout: Trent Stoner

The Stallions have committed their third player for the upcoming season, signing local standout Trent Stoner from the Kalamazoo Eagles.

Trent is from Richland, Michigan, and has attended Gull Lake High School while playing for the Eagles. He spent time playing for Fox Motors AAA prior to his time with the Eagles and in 2020 helped lead the Eagles to their first MHSAA Regional Championship. He amassed 30 goals and 36 assists in 37 games for the Eagles and was the points leader for his MDHL team this past fall.

Trent plans to study Business Administration at WMU, and ultimately hopes to attend law school after he completes his degree. Former Kalamazoo Eagles Head Coach Jason Lindstrom said “Trent is a fierce competitor that doesn’t take no for an answer. His skills out due most, and when the bright lights come on, he tends to shine”.

Stallions Head Coach Andy Reynolds also spoke highly of Trent, saying “Trent brings a high-speed game that will help him excel at this level, and we are excited to add that to our lineup”.
