Head Coach: Alex Hufford

Alex grew up in the Kalamazoo area and started hockey through the KOHA Youth Hockey program. He played high school hockey for the Portage Central Mustangs then moved up to the NA3HL and played two seasons for the Wisconsin Whalers. Alex finished his playing career on Western Michigan's ACHA Division 1 program from 2018 - 2022, serving as a Captain his senior year. Alex currently owns the Stallion program goaltending records for Wins in a Season (21), Career Minutes Played (4,843), Most games played (85), and is 2nd in Career Wins (35).

Alex earned the prestigious Medallion Academic Scholarship and graduated from WMU with degrees in Sports Management and Communications. Alex was a member of the Lee Honors College and served as the President of the Stallions Division 1 Program from 2019 - 2022.

Prior to joining the Stallions, Alex served as an Assistant Coach for the Portage Muskies High school hockey program for 3 years and an instructor at the Bandits Goaltending School. Alex continues to work with the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association to coach, mentor and teach young hockey players.

Alex started the 22-23 season with the Stallions as an Assistant Coach focusing on defense and goaltending and was asked to serve as Head Coach in November.
Assistant Coach: Drew Moffit

Drew Moffit grew up playing hockey in the Kalamazoo area, and played his high school hockey at Portage Central High School. He recently completed his third season as the Head Coach of the Portage Muskies High School program, while also coaching a KOHA youth program for the past few seasons.
He has served as a scout for the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs, Kenai River Brown Bears, and Jamestown Rebels in the past. Currently, he is a scout for the Wichita Falls Warriors in the NAHL, and the Omaha Lancers in the USHL.
He also is serving as a board member for the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association, where he helps shape the youth hockey programs in the greater Kalamazoo area.
